A useful consultation should explain what was found, what needs attention now, what can wait and what information is still needed. Ask to see relevant X-rays or photographs when they are used.
Compare plans, not slogans
Ask about benefits, limitations, alternatives, likely stages, maintenance and who will perform each part. A second opinion is reasonable for complex or irreversible care.
Plan for follow-up
Complex dentistry often needs review and maintenance. Consider travel time, record continuity and how the clinic handles concerns between visits.
